I just reset tomato on my asus rtn16. I have only changed the time zone, changed login and setup ssid/password. Prior to the reset I had access restrictions on my kids ipod touches. Now, when I enter the information again it does not work. I tried mac and IP address. I have Normal Access Restriction checked. Then the Applies to, I have "the following" chosen. then the mac address is entered. Finally, I have block all internet access checked for now. Have tried on several devices with no success. Any suggestions would be great for what to try. Here is the version I am using, Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB Ext. Let me know if any other information is needed. Thanks.
MAC addresses can be tricky. Be sure to double verify that you have accurately entered the proper address. For best results, copy and paste it from the device list.
If the MAC is correct then reboot. If that does not fix it then restore to defaults from the menu and try again.
Can't copy the mac. typed several time without success. tried ip address without success. reboot did not work. To restore from menu, I assume you mean nvram? If so, do the wifi and cat 6 connections need to be off or unplugged?
Can't copy the mac.
Well shit…. I know. Why in God's Hell this new firmware does not let you highlight and copy data from the data fields is a nightmare beyond explanation.
While on the "devices" screen, hit CTRL-A then CTRL-C. That selects all text and then copies to clip board. Then paste or CTRL-V into notepad. Weed through until you locate the MAC and you can copy from there.

Yes. NVram, thorough.
do the wifi and cat 6 connections need to be off or unplugged?
No. Neither is significant to this operation. You will of course need to re-program everything from scratch.
If your problem is getting an accurate MAC address into your rule then that is the first thing to be working on.
