I have an E2000 that has Tomato VPN installed on it. I would like to flash back to the current Linksys E2000 firmware.
Is there any special proceedure I need to follow. I don't flash routers much. I did flash this on quite a few years ago, but if I remember correctly I easily flashed directly from the stock Linksys firmware direct to the Tomato VPN version.
Reason I'm wanting to flash back is because I'm giving the router to a not too internet/network savvy friend and would rather they have the stock firmware so that they can find support if need on the Linksys site. I don't want to be the one they call for troubleshooting.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've read a few post I've found that talk about flashing to DDWRT first. Do I really have to do that if I don't want to Brick the router?
