Hi!
I flashed the most recent TomatoUSB (shibby) on my rt-n66u and got it up and running - almost.
First my Setup:
Cable Modem (192.168.0.1) »via Ethernet» rt-n66u (192.168.0.100)
A DLink NAS is connected with the cable modem via ethernet
An external HDD is connected with the rt-n66u via USB
There are 2 WLANs in my house (Mr. Modem (the cable Modem) and Mr. Router (the rt-n66u)). I want to access the NAS and the USB drive with any of the 2 WLANs
I connected the cable Modem to a LAN port of the rt-n66u, disabled the WAN port and set the Gateway to 192.168.0.1. I also changed under "advanced" the Mode to router
On the Cable Modem I forwarded Port 51413 to 192.168.0.100
But transmission tells me, that the Port is still closed…
I added a torrent from a private tracker and transmission does not even try to download (could not connect to tracker).
ipkg update does not work either (ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 1) with this setup. When I connect the modem with the WAN port of the rt-n66u ipkg works(transmission still dont work) - but I cant access the DLink NAS…
What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: OK, Transmission is downloading now - but not uploading cause the Port is still closed, ipkg not working. Modem connected to the WAN Port (WAN Port Disabled); Added WAN Port to VLAN1; Changed Mode from Router back to Gateway
EDIT2: No, no, NOO! I checked (and changed) the DNS Server a hundred times. Now I only switched the DNS Servers to 8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4 and 192.168.0.1 and now ipkg is working AND the Port is open ?!?! Why is the port open now??
BTW:The built in transmission client seems to be very unstable
Another question: Is there a way to install unrar-nonfree with ipkg? (for sabnzbd)
