Thanks for taking a moment to read. Will admit im a bit of a noob, know only enough to cause problems for myself. have been searching for a few days and google has come up short (or I just dont understand what I am reading)
I have a camp site where we are providing wifi access.
We are limiting access by approving only specific users through the Static DHCP/ARP/IPT list (with 'Ignore DHCP requests from unknown devices' enabled).
I want to them monitor each user's activity, possibly throttle their usage through the Bandwidth Limiter as needed, no ensure everyone has reasonable access.
We are using an Asus RT-AC68U running Shibby Tomato 1.28.0000 -120 K26ARM USB AIO-64K
Cable company gave us a motorola sbg6580.
Modem is set as 192.168.0.1, assigning an IP to the AC86U of 192.168.0.2. the router then assigns IPs of 192.68.1.x.
I have set up a router like this before (with easy tomato) and the tracking worked… but this time = nothing.
I cant figure out why the tracking is not working.
the real time trackers (both IP and bandwidth) both populate with data when I view them, but the daily, weekly, monthly, etc are all empty (all values for all users is 0.00).
also (maybe to be expected) Recently Visited Web Sites and Searches is empty.
Am am at a bit of a loss with this. I dont know what I have done wrong and why it is not tracking.
One possible reason - would the modem need to be configured as a bridge only? I dont really want to pull it off line at the moment to make the switch but can try. But would that really be the problem, as it is 192.168.0.1 vs 192.168.1.1 - no problem, right?
Again, any suggestions of things to try would be hugely appreciated. thanks everyone. Sorry for the noob question.
