I am made rebuild from branch ShibbyRT-N_095 plus QUAGGA 0.99 … For RT-N10U. Tested now. Interesting ?
Hello doctor,
I'm interested to see what you've done! I created a Shibby branch at the end of last year with some features such as quagga, netflow, etc with tomato GUI support that Victek has started incorporating into his build. There's a thread on here about it somewhere back in time.
QUAGGA ??? !!!
Does that improve load time on Porn sites or can it enhance the exasterbating Pop-Ups when clicking through videos ?
I guess you could get there if you take the long way…Quagga provides BGP, which is the routing protocol of the internet…so technically, the fact that your favorite porn sites load at all could possibly be because of routes propagated by Quagga.
Or maybe you have a really, really unstable home network, and you use Quagga for OSPF in to get sub-second convergence times, which could mean the difference between money shot and no money shot. :D
I like your explanation ! Thanks. I'm sorry for cumming off half cocked and not Googling it. I do know what BGP and OSPF are, and having those protocols available would be very nice for those who know how to program and use them.
So many boxes, so little time…..
Ah, yes, I've seen your posts enough to know you have a firm grasp of the technology, didn't mean to rub you the wrong way and come off like a jerk. Mentioning OSPF on Tomato USB in the past seemed to cause some unnecessary friction here; personally, I thinking using these as commodity hardware to create more reliable SMB networks without pumping a giant load of money into them is a stroke of genius.
