I'm trying get ipv6 running on my RT-N53 router. I recently upgraded to k26 build 119 specific to the rt-n53. I couldn't get it to work at all on build 104. I know I have ipv6 available because if I plug my windows laptop into the modem, I get an ipv6 address. And the ipv6 test sites say I'm using ipv6.
So after hours of tinkering I figured out that these steps work:
1. turn on ipv6 with prefix delegation, check the box for accept router advertisements from wan. Save
2. edit the dhcp6c.conf file add the "send ia-na 0;"
3. kill dhcp6c daemon and restart it using the same parameters.
4. Click save on the ipv6 screen (restarts services?)
Then the issue is that when the router reboots with ipv6 enabled, I don't get an ipv4 address on the wan(or ipv6). The only way I can get it to work is turn off ipv6 and reboot the router. Then I have to start over with the procedure above.
Any ideas on what I can check?
