I just installed Optware on mu RT-N16 following the guide on this website.
Now what I want to do with Optware on Tomato is just install Network UPS Tools (server mode) to shut down my PCs and if possible monitor the status of the UPS when needed.
I have a Centralion Blazer Vista UPS, and when I tried it on my desktop I was able to set it up and monitor the UPS with other PCs through the network, but on Optware I am not able to set it up.
I installed NUT using the following command:
ipkg install nut
it took a while to do the task but it looked to finish correctly, however the configuration files and other stuff are not located where they should be: I have the (sample) configuration files in /opt/etc/ instead of (I suppose) /opt/usr/local/ups/etc/
I tried to create the ups.conf file on the /opt/etc directory but when I start upsdrvctl I get the following answer:
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.1
Network UPS Tools - Megatec/Q1 protocol USB driver 0.03 (2.4.1)
Can't chdir to /opt/var/state/ups: No such file or directory
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)
Inside /opt/var there is no state/ups directory or file (but it was obvious), the part I don't understand right now is the fact that I set up the ups.conf file to use blazer_usb driver and not megatec, so I think there is something wrong on the installation or the files are located somewhere else.
I tried to find the ups.conf file but the only one I found was what I created and the sample file.
Basically when I tried to find the all files starting for "ups" I found the files are located on the following directories:
I am a bit noob on linux but I managed to install and set up software by command line on my desktop and on other routers but this is the first time I set up NUT on an Optware installation… is there anybody that did it?
