As the title mentions, I'm not able to delete video files from my USB storage attached to my router. I'm able to add/remove any other type of file/folder, but when trying to delete video files, I get an error saying access denied. Anyone know of a solution to this?
Here's an idea, don't know if it's the issue. I remember seeing once when looking through the tomato source code, for samba/nas features they create a different user called 'nas' I think it was. If for some reason there were some files owned by root, it's possible that the 'nas' user wouldn't be able to delete them. Check the ownership of the files that won't be deleted.
It's possible, for example, if you dl video files with transmission or usenet, and the user that those programs runs under are root, then those files are owned by root, and may not be able to be deleted by other users.
