1)Tried SHIBBY's 116 RT-N5x build……too big to fit
2)Tried SHIBBY's 115 RT-N5x build…..runs very sluggishly, web page crashed after any savings, needed to do NVRAM erase often
3)Tried SHIBBY's 116 RT build…..worked OK, but I was missing CPU clock adjust from menu
4)Tried TOASTMAN's smaller RT-N build…..LAN not connected, spent hours to find out that DHCP DISABLED by DEFAULT -:(
5)Thanks to SHIBBY's ANON , on "tomatoanon.php" I have entered my model number, and discovered the existence of ADVANCED TOMATO , located AT.PRAHEC…..based on SHIBBY's , but different web interface and probably more….
Loaded the recommended for ASUS RT-N16, "at.prahec v1.22.16/K26RT-N/Asus%20RT-Nxx/tomato-K26USB-1.28.AT-RT-N5x-MIPSR2-1.22.16-VPN.trx" , it is 7.66 MB-—The larger BIG-VPN file was too big (7.87 MB) to fit.
There was also "extras-mipsr2.tar.gz" available
Unfortunately, router webpage opens up correctly only in Chrome, not in Firefox or Explorer (un-viewable)
Also streaming radio or video through wifi is very slow, although my internet connection is a same , verified with speedtest.
6)Also with a help of SHIBBY's ANON page, noticed Hyzoom BW518 versions, lists updated wifi drivers 5.100.138
After some search and translation, managed to download, it is available both in CHI and ENG. (\pan.baidu.com\s\-1\cMsgd\)
Downloaded and installed the largest 8 MB file: BWQ-K26-2014-02-26.HYZOOM.RT_N5x-8M-VPN-AR
All went good, it has an "elegant black" gui, came with an even newer wifi drivers 188.8.131.5212, and also shows wireless chip temperature and tx power + the "aria2 client" is a new feature too.
