Hi,
First of all, thanks you for all your work and effort in creating TomatoUSB and a great community.
I might be trying to solve the impossible but i havent found anything that confirms it by seraching this forum and the web.
My challenge
- I have a IPTV box in need of Public IP(Dedicated VLAN from ISP) to actually work. Port forwarding is not an option.
- As many others I have distance between TV and wall socket.
- As many others I want to make my Installations as clean as possible.
- As many others i have a Wife that would prefer as little cables as possible.
My units
- Asus RT N66U using 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-116 K26AC USB AIO-64K
- Asus RT N16 using 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-115 K26 USB AIO
- IPTV box from service provider
- 2x Raspberry PI with OpenElec and XMBC (only use one atm)
- LG N2R1 Using Thantalus Firmware 2647 1.0.0t
- Some mobile devices and laptops using Wifi
Requirements
- ISP Public IP is given by DHCP
- IPTV Box need external IP
- Some WIFI within LAN and DHCP
- Some LAN ports on both locations WAN and TV so that Raspberry and TV(otpional) can access NAS.
Options?
- Is it possible to give public IP to IPTV Box connected using LAN port to Access point router over WDS?
- Other similar solution as above user some Tomato features?
- Use ethernet over power solution?
Network Diagrams
I've created 3 network diagrams trying to explain:
- My old setup where IPTV worked behind one router. TV was located close to wall socket. Could work now but then i have long ugly ethernet cable and would need NAS close or over wifi(slower)
- My preferred solution
- Bad option that would need even more hardware.

I dont understand all possibilities with Tomato and hope that ive missed something. Think others have the same problem and would like some feedback and tips on solutions.
Thanks in advance.
