I am new and apologize if my questions has been addressed in another thread. I have searched the forums and cannot find a post that addresses my question which is as follows.
Looking at the Tomato Shibby download page there appears to be two firmware versions for the ASUS RT-N66U. Admittedly, one appears to be under K26RT-N and the other K26RT-AC which leads me to conclude that I need the 'N' since my router is N and not AC. However, when you look at the descriptions of each you see:
K26RT-N – MIPSR2 – special builds for E4200, RT-N10U, RT-N12B1/C1, RT-N15U, RT-N53, RT-N66U, WNR3500Lv2 and newer Linksys E-series routers
K26RT-AC – MIPSR2 – SDK6.x, special builds for RT-N66U, RT-AC66U and Tenda W1800R only
Both of these appear to be for the ASUS RT-N66U and when you navigate through the download links you arrive at two different files that each appear to be for the ASUS RT-N66U.
I'm just curious about this and which version I should be using. Thank you.
