Hi All,
I am in need of some expertise. I am average when it comes to networking so hopefully we can figure out a solution. I have a primary router (Netgear WNDR4500) and a OpenVPN router (WRT54GS running Tomato v1.28.7633.3-Toastman firmware). I have been able to successfully configure my OpenVPN router using TAP, which allows me get an IP of 192.168.1.0/24. However, I would like to be able to use TUN as the Interface Type to allow my other devices (iPad/Android) to use OpenVPN without having to root/jailbreak. When I change my settings to use TUN, the IP address automatically changes to 10.8.0.0/24 and I am able to connect successfully, but I can not access other devices on the LAN of 192.168.1.0/24. I have a server, and other machine son my home network, and would like to be able to route from 10.8.0.0/24 to 192.168.1.0/24 and be able to use all my devices, but I am only able to use the TAP interface type, which is unsupported without jailbreaking/rooting on my other devices.
Last Note: I am able to access the OpenVPN router when connected via a 10.8.0.0/24 IP address, but can not access any of the other machines at home or even the main Netgear Router.
Again, Thank you in advance for all of your help.
Best Regards,
