Hey guys, is it normal for both my Asus RT-N16 and RT-N66U to reset after a power outage? I currently running the newest version of tomatoUSB by shibby (MIPSR2-109 K26 USB AIO). Please note this issue doesn't occur when running the stock firmware on both routers.

Are you saying that the stock firmware does not reset during power outage and continues to run WITHOUT power? That's AMAZING. You shouldn't be installed the tomato firmware!
Reset is the same as regression. So, in the context of my first post reset means going back to default settings. I guess we have two different meanings for the word.
when you press the reset button on your computer, does it go back to the state when you first bought it?
Am i talking about a computer ? Didn't i state " In the context of my post" ?
Only time I've seen that happen is with bad power. How are your UPS batteries? surge protector MOV's?
Had an AC disturbance filter (bigwirecoils) but was not enough to stop loss of all settings, 3 times, 3 routers, 3 different builds.
Added a small UPS and have had no failures since.
If power is lost then comes back up, the router begins winding up, only if the power fails again at a crucial moment, nvram is corrupted and the router resets. The cure is a UPS.
@ KillerTomato Currently, the UPS died on one router and i didn't notice. The other is plugged into a Belkin Surge Protector. I'll just get two UPS's at this point as the power outages will continue on all summer.
@ Disin Tura Thanks for the explanation
