Shibby - Netgear 3500Lv2 build 110
Using (1) router as 2 subnets, one with internet access, one without.
Device1 NAS: 192.168.30.1 <LAN Only, No Internet>
Device2 Laptop1: 192.168.40.1 <LAN & Internet>
When a computer changes the ip configuration from 192.168.30.x to 192.168.40.x , the goal is to
make sure the NAS device is never exposed to the internet.
Is static routing the most rock solid approach or is a Vlan just as secure ?
