i'm using Shibby 1.10 on my Asus RT-N66U and i always see that a WAN (PPPoE) reconnect takes about 4 minutes if the router is restarted or if some services are restarted (i.e. in case of changes on the "Basic" settings page).
Relevant Syslog entries are:
Jan 1 01:02:49 flairnet-router daemon.err pppd: Timeout waiting for PADO packets
Jan 1 01:02:54 flairnet-router daemon.err pppd: Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery
I don't see any entry in the syslog that the router has sent a PADI to the DSLAM - isn't this recorded in the syslog or is there a bug somewhere in Tomato?
After around 4 minutes it connects.
I'm restarting the WAN every night at 04:00h to have a fixed restart time (my ISP disconnects after 24h even with fixed IP option and i want to have this short break in the night) in the Scheduler (Reconnect option), but in this case the reconnect is fine after 8 seconds.
And: I have the feeling i didn't see this long connection time before build 1.10 - maybe it has to do with the integration of the LCP Echo settings in the GUI?
Any idea about this?
