My ISP does a few things I don't like (my wife loves her TV with them so I can't easily switch).
Issues with ISP:
1. BLOCKS MAJOR SERVER PORTS (80, 443, 25, etc).
2. OFFERS ONLY ONE MODEM/ROUTER Device.
blocking ports I can get around with Tomato but my issue is the whole ROUTER thing.
-I have Tomato and NO-IP.org configured. the Tomato is logging in and updating the DNS Data as it changes.
-Whats my ip websoite confirms noip is right
-Entering my NOIP is going to a DEAD SITE. port 80 is blocked so I set NOIP to use port 81 to FWD to so goign to noip trnaslates to :81
How do I tell my ISP Router/modem to port forward ALL traffic to my Tomato?
What the end results I am hoping for is to have the ISP Modem as JUST MODEM and all data passes through the ISP unit to TOMATO and let Tomato do the routing.
I set Tomato on a 192.168.3.x internal lan subnet so teh ISP 192.168.1.1 shouldn't interfere.
Also what is a good test to see if the ISP Modem is ignoring the router data (Excluding the TV stuff it does). IE: testing to see if my dynamic IP currently assigned is going to Tomato to process.
Thanks again for any assistance you can offer.
