I have 5 routers that I want to use switch from DDWRT to tomato. I have successfully switched 1 of the 5 from DDWRT to tomato using shibby's tomato firmware. I found that shibby's tomato firmware is quite stable, have a lot of feature and much easier to set up.
Here is the list of my routers and the info that I have found on them:
Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/31/12) std - build 20453
It has an Atheros chip. On the supported router list, there are 2 for Buffalo but this model did not show up. Is there a a version of tomato firmware that I can use?
Belkin F7D3302 / F7D7302 v1 with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/12) big - build 18946M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko
I have successfully flashed this router using tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-MIPSR2-109-Big-VPN.trx firmware. So far, this router has performed flawlessly. This is the reason why I want to switch over to tomato
TP-Link TL-WR841ND v7 with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (06/08/12) std - build 19342
This router has an Atheros chip. I know it is unlikely but do you know of any tomato firmware out there for this router?
Linksys WRT310N with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) vpn - build 14896
Based on the list, I should flash the K26 version.
Netgear WNR2000 v2 with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/13/11) mini - build 16785
Same as above, I should flash the K26 version.
Also, another question, should I just use the DDWRT interface and flash the tomato firmware on top? or is there any special instruction for flashing for each router?
Thank you all.
