Tomato USB is definitely a BIG step up from the standard Belkin kernel, but DLNA just doesn't seem to be happening.
Yeah, the media scan seemed to finish fine against the folders on my attached USB 2 hard drive, but playing back anything is impossible. Any video will start up, but then just freeze about 4 - 5 seconds in and although I've waited a minute or so, the video stream doesn't start back up again. The blue 'drive access' light on the external drive just only flashes intermittently when this happens, as if it isn't even being accessed continuously during the freeze.
At this point, I'm just guessing the N300 (even with a 453 MHz clock speed) just doesn't have the horsepower to act as a true DLNA server to stream video. Any ideas? Comments? Suggestions? Thanks.
