Wasn't sure if this is even possible. I think it is but I haven't found solutions that apply to my situation.
I have IPTV that requires being directly connected to the modem. It cannot sit behind a router. My rt-n16 with shibby connects directly to modem as well and goes online via PPPoE. All works as that is the standard installation method.
Recently, I have connected a PC to the same TV that has the IPTV. If I connect that PC to the Ethernet cable the IPTV is on by using a Hub, the PC will be on a different network from the rest of the house (it will also need to do its own PPPoE connection to get on the Internet).
Are there any methods available to move the IPTV and the PC onto the same network as the tomato (plugging it in LAN port of rt-n16) ? I know I can use VLAN and put a specific port on the same VLAN as WAN but that doesn't let the rest of the network access that PC. I've also tried playing with vlan tagging but it didn't work (I have no clue what I'm doing, unskilled in networks)
Any ideas or am I just out of luck?
