I am having trouble with my DDNS settings. I can update the first hostname in the hostname field, but when I try to update multiple hosts, it only catches the first one.
So the problem isn't authentication, it's how that hostname field is handled. On DD-WRT, I could separate different hostnames to update with "-a", and all the hosts would be updated, so I know that everything is behaving on DNSOMATIC's side.
My hostname field would look something like this: "foo.domain.com -a bar.domain.com -a blank.domain.com -a etc.orgdomain.org -a test.testdomain.ca". These all would have entries on my dnsomatic account, and would updated properly.
It seems a shame to run a daemon on one of my PCs when the firmware has all the guts there.
Can anybody steer me in the right direction? Maybe I'm missing something, so I don't want to put in a feature request just yet.
I checked through the DNSOMATIC API (*can't post link*), and they aren't clear on how to build a hostname string that contains more than 1 hostname. They do point to the DynDNS API as being very similar. The DynDNS API (*can't post link*) indicates a hostname string can be comma-delimited, but using a comma-delimited hostname as a "Custom URL" in tomato gives me a "nohost" response. DNSOMATIC indicates that this return code means "The hostname passed could not be matched to any services configured".
Love the firmware, but would like to update multiple hosts.
Suggestions always welcome.
