I'm connected with cable to an Asus RT-N66u running Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-108 K26 USB AIO-64K
Me and 2 other users who connect by cable experience that sometimes, like about once every 1-2 hours, our internet connections disconnect. The 'red X' appears over the connection icon in the system tray in Windows 7, as if they unplAfter about 10 seconds it connects again.
I have no idea what's going on with the router at this time, it doesn't reboot because the uptime doesn't change. It just seems like it disables the Ethernet ports for a short while. As if the cable is unplugged.
One thing I noticed is that when I first set up this router two days ago, the ethernet ports were showed as running 1Gbit. However, they are now 100M. I am not able to change this no matter what I do on the router or on my computer. I tried setting my PCs network adapter to 1Gbit, but the router seems to force it to sync at 100M. Now I set my PC to 100M (no auto negotiating). It doesn't help with the problem at all.
Is this an issue anyone else have experienced? Are there any logs I can get to to check what happens during this time?
Logs are on pastebin. Just add "pastebin dot com slash" in front of the following strings. Since I am a guest I cannot post links
