pls can you post a basic configuration guide? i would like to use 3 router connected each one of them thnx in advance
Program each router with a unique LAN IP Address. 192.168.1.10, 192.168.1.20 and 192.168.1.30, and use radio channel one, six and eleven. If you use the same SSID for all three then your computer can roam to the strongest signal as you move about.
i configure my first router Router IP address 192.168.1.1 and turn on DHCP Server enable and the starting IP is 192.168.1.100, 2nd Router IP address 192.168.1.2 and set Default gateway to 192.168.1.1 is it correct? thanx for replying
It sounds like you have the main router programmed correctly. On the other two routers, disable the WAN port and assign WAN port to LAN with the checkbox. This will disable the WAN port IP addresses and let you use the WAN hole for LAN, which is what you want.
Router #2 - 192.168.1.2 and disable DHCP server.
Router #3 - 192.168.1.3 and disable DHCP server.
Connect network cable from main router LAN to router #2 and #3. Or, you can connect one cable to #2 and run another cable from #2 to #3. #3 can connect to either #1 or #2.
how about their WDS mac address settings do i have to clone the mac address? is it possible to connect each one of them using a wireless not a network cable?
ok to make it simple sir.. im really confuse on how to get the mac address of the #1 router and #2 router in WDS link with MAC address and #3 router WDS link with MAC address.. thank you i really appreciate it
WDS will work fine if you cannot run cables. If router #2 and #3 are both close enough to #1 then make #1 and #2 WDS parnters and make #1 and #3 partners. If #3 cannot reach #1 but it can reach #2 then make #1 and #2 WDS partners and make #2 and #3 partners. #2 can relay the signal to #3. Remember that each time you relay the signal the bandwidth is reduced by 50% so it is better to have #2 and #3 partner with #1.
