Ok, will try to make this as short as possible… I have a Linksys E3000 running tomato-E3000USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.7501.3MIPSR2Toastman-RT-Ext firmware… that is working perfectly fine except for signal strenght which I will mention in a moment… I have set the IP address to 192.168.0.1 and have had no issues with setting my computer's static IP and all other devices static IP.
I use the E3000's signal STRICTLY for my laptop and my wireless devices, an Android tablet and Android phone.
Connected via ethernet I have a D-Link DGL-4500 connected and I have it's IP address set to 192.168.1.1 in it's settings BUT I am unable to assign that IP address to the D-Links MAC address… when I look in the Device List it shows the D-Link router as 192.168.0.101 even thought I have it's MAC address bound to be 192.168.1.1 in the DHCP/ARP/BW menu…. so what am I doing wrong guys?
And I may as well throw this in there while I'm here… my wireless signal throughout the house from the E3000 is pretty sad compared to stock firmware… I can't even connect downstairs. I have set my country to Costa Rica where I am now, Frame Burst is enabled, 802.11 Preamble is set to Greenfield and have set transmit power to 100. These settings apply to both 2.4 and 5gHz bands. 2.4gHz band is set to 20mHZ, channel set to auto and security set to WPA2 Personal. 5gHz band is set to 40mHz, channel set to auto, security is also WPA2 Personal. Wireless modes are set to Access Point for both…
Look forward to a response
