Hi
I just flashed Shibby (1.28) firmware onto my Asus N66U router and it works just fine. Now I want to connect my external HDD and make it pop up in finder for normal use - like if were connected directly to my mac (Which was the whole point of flashing). How do I do this? I have spent the last 2 hours googleing but I couldn't find much help that I could use/understand. They were talking about using telnet(?) or ftp (that I do know what it is), using command lines etc.
As I said above, all I want is to be able to have my external disk connected to my router at all time but using it as it would be connected to my mac. Preferably the mac should remember this and load it when I reboot. Also I would prefer using HFS+ (I know tomato doesn't support that natively so I might be okay with using NTFS/FAT) but I have no idea what people are talking about when they say "you have to use the right mod with the right kernel". I know mod is the "modification" and kernel "the core" but I do I know what to use? Does it even exist? And since HFS support isn't native and the mod disappears when rebooting the router - how do I add a hot plug script to load this HFS mod each time it reboots or the HDD is reconnected? And how do I make my disk available online?
Sorry for all the questions but I really want to make this work! :D
