After 12 years, my beloved WRT54GS was staring to go out on me. Since it's first month in existance, it has been running the original tomato firmware (1.25 mostly).
I decided since I was changing routers, I should go to an N router. I was not willing to give up tomato, so I got a RT-N16. The first one I got from Amazon was a POS, so I got another one from them. This one is working great, but for one problem.
My tomato build is: v1.28.7501 MIPSR2Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN
I have the remote administration enabled. Local is HTTP and HTTPS and remote access is HTTPS on port 8080.
If I got to HTTPS://MyExternalIPAddress:8080 I do not get the tomato web interface. I can get to the interface with no problem internally on both http and https. I have set this up before on my old router and had no problems with it.
I have tried different ports to no avail. I have tried forwarding the port through port forwarding even though that should not be necessary. I have tried changing remote access to http and get the same results. If I enable ping, I can ping my IP just fine via IP and via my DYNDNS.
I have other web services hosted on a WHS machine that is behind this firewall and I can get to all of those via port forwarding.
I don't know what I'm missing. It seems like it SHOULD be working. Thoughts anyone?
Thanks!
