A couple years ago, I installed Tomato on my WRT-54GL. Everything went smoothly and worked perfectly, or so I thought. One day, my wife became very frustrated with her work's website. It wouldn't work from our house, but she could take her laptop to the coffee shop and it would work fine. Upon further investigation, I was able to determine that Tomato was in fact the problem. When attempting to load the site from behind the router, it would simply return a blank HTML page. I couldn't, however, figure out why so I reverted back to the DD-WRT build that I had been using before. After that, the website worked without a problem.
Fast forward to today, my WRT-54GL has begun locking up occasionally and its lack of wireless N and gigabit LAN is becoming bothersome. I researched and decided that my choice of replacement would be the RT-N16. As soon as I received it, I flashed it with Tomato and began testing out my torrent/usenet speeds. Everything works great! Except the part where I forgot about my wife's website problem. It came back!
I cannot get this website to load while behind a Tomato router. I'm not sure what it's doing that is preventing the site from loading. When testing it with Wireshark, the http packets just come back empty.
I should also note that when I route the traffic through my Private Internet Access VPN account, the website does work. But, I'm hoping to find a better solution.
Can some of you try to get to this site and maybe help me figure out what the heck is causing this? I'd like to stay with Tomato on my new router, as it seems to be more active than DD-WRT these days.
I guess I can't post links, so the website is:
www (dot) ketteringhealth (dot) org
The version of Tomato I'm running is this:
Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta K26 USB vpn3.6
Thanks! Any feedback would be very appreciated.
