I'm new to custom firmware, and today I jumped in and installed the following firmware on my RT-N16
I have a domain .. under which I've created subdomains … pointing to my RT-N16 via no-ip.org… all the subdomains are pointing correctly to the router.
Is there anyway to Forward subdomains to specific devices within my network with a specific port?
This is along the lines of what I'd like to accomplish…
ftp.mydomain.com - to forward to my network storage drive 192.168.1.100 using port 21. (192.168.1.100.21)
config.mydomain.com - to access to the network storage driver's web interface using port 80 (192.168.1.100:80)
router.mydomain.com - to access the tomatos web interface via port 8080
print.mydomain.com - to forward to my network printer on port 9100 (192.168.1.50:9100)
and so on …
When I've attempted to configure these items on the port forwarding page … it seems I have to use the port in order to reach those devices in the address… as I'm not sure if I'm able to configure the router to actually route those connections to the correct devices.
Using the SRC Address didn't help … but if I left SRC address blank, I was able to connect to the FTP on my NAS for example … This is where my confusion lies. Any ideas? I feel I'm quite capable when it comes to this type of stuff, but I seem lost.
