I appended this problem to a thread by the same name in Discussions/General with no response to either my or the the thread originator's entry. Maybe putting it here will result in some responses, so here goes.
IP daily and monthly traffic is showing in the sometimes thousands of gigabytes, when I am transferring a maximum of around 5GB per billing period (Verizon 4G). IP traffic did report accurate numbers in the past, but has in the last month or so gone wild. Bandwidth numbers are accurate.
I suspect that this may have something to do with a counter space overflow, as the Linksys router has been up now for 175 days without a reboot (on a UPS), and has been gathering IP and bandwidth data for that time. I suppose I could quickly check, but I don't want to reboot if not necessary, and I'm not sure that I could easily reset the counters anyway.
My Linksys WRT54GS V2.1 is running Tomato Firmware v1.28.7633 -Toastman-VLAN-IPT-ND ND VPN.
Is there a way to reset IP traffic numbers? Will a reboot even do it? Is this a known problem?
