Hello everyone.
I need some advice on what to do.
I bought a re-certified Cisco Linksys E4200 yesterday at a local computer store and I bricked it after flashing Tomato.
I don't know exactly what happened, but I suspect it was because I didn't wait after the flash before I changed settings, as well not doing the 30-30-30 resets before and after.
So I unplug it to connect it to the rest of my equipment a short distance away and upon powering it up, I find it doesn't work.
The white Cisco light stays on, some of the Ethernet port lights flash once for a fraction of a second upon connecting power, but never light up again even if I plug in a cable.
All the ports on the back are dead, plugging them in the computer registers nothing, as if it was never plugged in.
I have a 90 day warranty on it but its obviously voided at this point. I don't know if they can tell if I flashed third party firmware so I don't know if sending it in will get me a replacement. I think I'll send it in anyway as a last resort after I exhaust all options short of opening it and removing the warranty sticker.
Can this even be fixed or do I write this off?
I regret this incident and I'll be more careful next time.
Thanks.
