I'm looking to limit bandwidth rates by MAC address (not IP address) on my network.
I would like:
1) Limit speed individually by MAC Address (say, one MAC address gets 512 kbps, second MAC address gets 256 kbps)
2) Block P2P app downloads
Can Tomato limit bandwidth by MAC address on a Belkin Share N300 Wireless N+ Router MiMo 3D & USB Port?
(I recently purchased a T-Link router and flashed with WW-DRT. I was disappointed. I can't limit bandwidth by MAC or even IP address. And, the router constantly freezes up and crashes.)
I've been trying to figure out how to do this for months, and have Googled until I'm blue in the face. Nothing has helped. I've read the Wiki. That didn't answer my answers. I'm read so much all over the internet about routers and IP tables and whatever that I am confused, and very frustrated. Please, walk me through it. Can I limit bandwidth by MAC address on Tomato running on a Belkin Share N300?
