I was watching a movie on netflix through my wired Samsung DVD player. I have a adsl 3 mbit connection so it's not very robust to start with. No one else was home so I was a bit irritated that the movie would stop and reload due to bandwidth issues. I got my status page up on the router and saw that several devices (laptops, pc, iphone) were tx/rx eating up quite a bit of bandwidth. So I put them in a wireless filter and shut them out. That improved things but it made me curious where the bandwidth was going.
The feature is great to ID leaks but where do I go from here to shut out the phantom consumers? If there is a thread already point me to it. I had done a google search with some dated (2009) discussion on tomato capability to track usage but the newer version shows individual clients.
