I just upgraded to Shibby from ToastMan on both my existing RT-N16 and a new RT-N12 (WDS linked together) using Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-101 K26 USB VPN and Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-101 K26 IPv6-VPN respectively.
One thing I'm curious about is the state or support for IP V6 via 6RD.
Rogers here in Canada support both 6to4 and 6RD (see http://ipv6.rogers.com/tunneled-ipv6-access/ ).
What they seem to imply (and I am not an expert at all) is that
6RD is a service provider grade tunneled access option. Rogers has deployed special 6RD relays to provide a better quality IPv6 service versus 6to4.
Now I see Shibby has support for both 6to4 and 6rd, but the 6rd support seems to require DHCPV4 to supply data via option 212. Rogers describe their configuration as
6RD needs to be explicitly configured at this time should a customer want to utilize this service. The following settings can be used on supported gateways.
Setting Confirmation Required Provider Prefix 2607:F090 Provider Prefix Sites 32 Mask Bits 0 Relay Address 18.104.22.168
Can the 6rd be used with Shibby, or should I stick to the 6to4 approach (that does appear to work)?
