I am running shibby 1.28 on a NR3500Lv2.
The modem is currently configured to for DHCP from my ISP. It gets a static IP assigned via DHCP.
vlan2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 30:46:9A:67:6B:FD inet addr:4.29.8.xx
I have 2 additonal IPs that I need to add to the router.
The additional IP block is: Network: 4.29.9.x Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.252 Bcast: 126.96.36.199 Start: 188.8.131.52 End: 184.108.40.206
I think this means I can use both the start and end addresses on my network, giving me a total of 3 routable IP's on my router. .
I'm not having any luck adding them. When I add the second ifconfig statement, it overwrites the first.
ifconfig vlan2:0 220.127.116.11 broadcast 18.104.22.168 netmask 255.255.255.252 ifconfig vlan2:0 22.214.171.124 broadcast 126.96.36.199 netmask 255.255.255.252
What is the best way to get these addresses added to the VLAN? What is the signifigance of the :0 at the end of the vlan statement?
