Hello, I'm still learning to get around Tomatousb (Shibby) and I'm quite happy with current features.

I'd love to see a way to track on peak / off peak stats from the bandwidth monitor. Per IP would be very cool too. If there is a way for me to do this, any tips on this would be much appreciated.

IP TRAFFIC reporting are the ff:
1. Graph mode - 10 minutes activity per IP
2. Daily bandwith usage per IP
3. Monthly bandwidth usage per IP
Note: no such thing as on/off peak

To start, I guess you need to let your router assign DHCP static IP to your client connecting. This is done using "Static DHCP/ARP/IPT" menu, entering the ff: 1. MAC address, 2. IP Address, 3. Hostname, 4, checkbox for IP TRAFFIC.
Secondly, configure IP Traffic saving storage log.
Thirdly, configure bandwidth monitoring saving storage log.

That's it.

Thanks leandroong for your time … I do have bandwidth monitoring for all connections and also per ip with stats saved to usb and it works great.

I have a five hour period at night that my ISP (satellite) does not count toward my data allotment and would like to track usage during that time separately if possible.

It looks like ipt-parse ( www.soft-haus dot com/wiki/index.php5?title=IPTables_Bandwidth_Monitor ) can help me with this, but is not apparently how the iptables logs are parsed in shibby tomatousb.

Maybe I need to use a different tomato version and set up IPTables Bandwidth Monitor and ipt-parse that way which is too bad cause other than on/off peak tracking the firmware I'm using is pretty much perfect for me.

Update: I've got ipt-parse running and can pull data accrued at specific times. Very cool. Now I just need to get it integrated with the tomatousb firmware. Is the only way to modify the /www directory to re-compile the source? I know /www/ext is r/w.

I wrote wrtbwmon (I'm not allowed to post links here, google is your friend) a few years ago to address this problem specifically. However I found it easier to switch to a better ISP than maintaining it. Have a look at it, it may suit your needs.

This would be such a great feature to have, similar to Gargoyles quota feature.

Being able to ignore stat collection for a specific time period would be a much used feature for those of us on UBB (usage based billing).
