Hi guys,
I did some googling and can't seem to find a solution on my own, found a few threads suggesting my issue might be a bug but not sure, thought I'd get a second opinnion from someone that might have more experience than me with this.
My Router:
Name tomato
Model Asus RT-N12 B1
Chipset Broadcom BCM5357 chip rev 2 pkg 8
CPU Freq 300 MHz
Flash Size 8 MB
Tomato Firmware v1.28.0500 MIPSR2Toastman-RT-N K26 VPN
My scenario may be somewhat unique. I have 2 voip phones at my home, one is linked to voip.ms via wan interface (which gets qos classification correctly) another is a voip phone that links to my data center asterisk pbx via openvpn tunnel (registration, communication etc works) but qos always has this device classified as "unclassified' and therefore throwing it on my lowest qos que of "crawl" which makes talking on it impossible.
I have tried:
1. Assign this phone to Voip/GAme que (which gets 90-100% upload bandwidth) by MAC
2. Assign this phone to the same que via IP
3. Prioritize all UDP traffic.
It seems that as soon as the traffic is destined for my 10.0.0.0 network (data center subnet) it automatically becomes "unclassified" I am assuming because it's leaving via VPN interface and not WAN … not sure, but any help would be greatly appreciated. My head is starting to hurt :)
Thanks in advance guys!
