Hello! Strange issue I am hoping any of you can help me with.
Router 1: E3000. Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta E3000 USB Ext.
Wireless: (5 GHz / eth2); Wireless Mode: Access Point
Wired Client #1 behind Router 1: Windows 7 x64 SP1
5GHz Wireless clients connecting to Router 1 usually get very close to 30MB/s reading and writing.
Router 2: Belkin N600 HD (F7D8301). Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-097 K26 USB Nocat-VPN (Shibby)
Wireless: Wireless (5 GHz / eth2); Wireless Mode: Wireless Client or Wireless Ethernet Bridge (tried both)
Wired Client #2 behind Router 2: Windows 7 x64 SP1
I am currently testing this within the same room, so distance is not an issue.
Transfer speeds using FTP:
Client #2 read from Client #1: 15-20MB/s
Client #2 write to Client #1: 18-22MB/s
Transfer speeds using Windows Explorer and LAN Speed Test:
Client #2 read from Client #1: 450KB/s-1.25MB/s
Client #2 write to Client #1: 8-11MB/s
Is there some setting I am overlooking that is causing this huge performance difference?
Especially Client #2 reading from Client #1. That's horrid.
