Hello,
I have an Asus WL-520gu router. I have installed Tomato USB, and connected my external hard drive to the usb port. I am currently able to access the hard drive from all of my network-connected computers. However, I am not able to access this hard drive from my Playstation 3 system. I have tried many versions of the Tomato firmware (TeddyBearm Shibby, Victek, Toastman, Teaman, and both k24 and k26lite varieties), but I am still unable to view the hard drive on the PS3. After many hours of research, it appears that I may have to install Optware onto the router, which will then enable me to install MiniDLNA. The problem is, I am kind of a newbie to this level of configuration, and I have no idea how to do this. All of the instructions I've been able to find have either been incredibly difficult to follow, or are meant for a router with bigger flash memory (mine only has 4mb). I know this can be done on the WL-520gu, since other people have done it before. I would appreciate your help in installing Optware and MiniDLNA, and eventually figuring out how to get my Playstation3 to recognize the hard drive connected to the router via USB.
