I am trying to configure guest wireless to make a separate LAN bridges to limit access from my guest network to my wired devices. My router is a Belkin Play Max F7D4301 which is running Tomato Firmware v1.28.7496 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB Ext

The problem is my version of Tomato doesn't have 'VLAN', 'LAN access' or 'Virtual Wireless' sub menus for me to setup guest wireless. I'm using the guide below:

I've flashed the router with

Tomato-K26USB-1.28.7500MIPSR2Toastman-VLAN-RT-Ext

I now see the above options, seems to have done the trick. Just configuring the bridges as we speak.

Quick question for Coffeeguy:
After replacing v1.28.7496 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB Ext with v1.28.7500 MIPSR2-Toastman-VLAN-RT-Ext, were the same USB options available?
I ask since I am trying to keep my Belkin N600 working as a print server for a USB printer, as well as be able to setup a VLAN.

I haven't set the USB side of the router even on the old Toastman build but as far as I can see the USB options seem to be the same.

That aside, I've set up the additional bridge (br1) and have followed everything according to the wiki article in post #1. My guest network seems to be assigning LAN addresses in the correct 192.168.2.x range and is also assigned to the new bridge (br1) but I can still access the 192.168.1.x network (br0) from the guest network (br1). Going to give this a bash this evening after work.

I've noticed 1 anomaly at default settings. The default br0 VLAN is assigned port 1/2/3/WAN whereas the WAN VLAN is set to port 4. I'm not sure if this is a bug or is intended but I've tried switching off the WAN port and selected port 1/2/3/4 for br0 and just the WAN port for the WAN VLAN and the router fails to connect to the internet on reboot. :s

I did the flash as an upgrade and the same USB options are available. Going to try my hand now at the VLAN as well.

Final update…

I was able to create the VLANs that i needed. My use case was not for the guest WLAN, however.

My use for the VLANs was to have one network for everyday usage, with the second for hosting machines in a lab environment. Taking the instructions from the post you referenced help get me there. Thanks!

The other addition that I made was to enable VLAN to VLAN access so that applications were available from across the networks. This can be found under Advanced -> LAN Access

Great to hear your Belkin N600 is setup. I think this is a bug but can you check your VLANs. On my Belkin F7D4301, the WAN VLAN is set to port 4 whereas the LAN (br0) VLAN is set to port 1/2/3/WAN as in the screenshot below:

I checked my VLAN setup against the image that you posted. The bug you described is present for me as well. It does show the same unexpected assignments
Port 4 on WAN Bridge
WAN Port on LAN(br0)

When I configured my VLAN - LAN1(br1), I placed Port 3 in it according to Tomato's Web UI. Physically, this is labeled as Port 1 on the router. Given that the router is working with the mislabeled ports on the different bridges, this is my guess (remember guess). If you're feeling a bit brave, you may be able to verify.

Tomato UI       Physical Router
Port 1          Port 3
Port 2          Port 2
Port 3          Port 1
Port 4          WAN
WAN Port        Port 4

If this matches up, it would explain why you lost internet connectivity when reassigning the ports in Tomato's UI.
