I just wonder how people setup the Qos to avoid p2p slows down the network?
In basic Qos, I have everything check, eg, ACK, ICMP…etc
In the classfication, I setup DNS as highest. and other setting, then anything else (for example, p2p) as lowest.
Everything works out well, I have netTV box setup. I turn the TV on, the TV plays very well, ping out is about 80ms. web works out too.
I turn P2P on to max, I see the ping goes to 2000ms or timeout, TV is still running smoothly, the web is slow… then I turn netTV off, the ping is still high, I turn netTV on, it takes very long time and then response not able to connect…
Therefore, I think the setting seems working as I want, Max P2P if nothing else is using, if something higher than P2P, then those takes the bandwidth first. However, because ping is super slow, so makes thing not able to response, eg netTV, online game…etc
I just wonder how to setup so I can lower my ping ms even max P2P?
