Greetings all,
I am a long time alternative firmware user sveasoft > dd-wrt > ? … I have been using WRT54GS (have 1.0, 1.1) and then moved to WRT610N v1.0.
I used OpenVPN on the '54 and USB/3G capabilities and OpenVPN (on different units) with the WRT610N.
I am looking for an alternative to dd-wrt that is more open and has a better development process.
I want to do initial testing on one of my '54s and get VPN properly configured and then, once I have a stable working OpenVPN on the '54, I will be able to convert my '610 v1 units. Doing this minimizes my down time.
Can anyone here give me an idea if TomatoUSB can be simply made to support the WRT610N V1.0? I see the V2 is supported but sadly, I don't have V2 units. At the risk of stating the obvious, I don't want to waste any time on TomatoUSB or variants if I will need to spend a LOT of time to make it work.
I have done a little testing on OpenWRT but am not convinced it will be the best choice for me.
Thanks
Peter
