Just took the plunge and flashed my Asus RT-n66u router over to Shibby's firmware. Everything went successfully except when I try to mount my external drive through USB I keep getting a "Failed to mount. ensure the drive is plugged in and try again." I cleared the nvram when I flashed, so I can't think what else is different from the Asus f/w and Shibbys. Any help for a router newb would be appreciated. thanks!

try editing fstab.

what kind of filesystem you have?
Look into dmesg, maybe you have some errors on drive/partition.
Did you enable filesystem sypport on usb support page?
Maybe you drive have a problem with powersupply?

I have RT-N66u and plugged 3,5" HDD, card reader with CF 1GB and SD 2GB and all works great, well its not a problem with tomato.

thanks for the suggestions, it ended up being a simple problem of some corrupted files, cleaned them up and the drive mounted right away. Now if I can just get the damn PS3 to see my files I'll be in heaven. :) Thanks again!
