I flashed my WRT54GS V1.0 with tomato-K26USB-1.28.0532-MIPSR2-8M-eng.trx. I was running Tomato 1.28. After 2 minutes, it rebooted. The Power LED flashes, and the WLAN LED is solid. Whichever LAN port I plug into gives a solid LED. I am running OS X, and the my ethernet is currently active and has the IP address 169.254.127.253. It does not give me an IP for my router. I have tried manually setting my IP address and pinging the previous router IP address 192.168.1.1). At no point have I made a successful ping. Here is a sample of the pings I get:
PING 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
Request timeout for icmp_seq 1
Request timeout for icmp_seq 2
Request timeout for icmp_seq 3
ping: sendto: No route to host
Request timeout for icmp_seq 4
ping: sendto: Host is down
I have tried a 30/30/30 reset.
I have tried pinging the router while holding the reset button and plugging in the power ( I was really hoping I could fix it with tftp).
I have followed several de-bricking guides, including the "Recover from a Bad Flash, Linksys Firmware" article and The Peacock Thread.
I believe I need a JTAG cable to revive it. If there is something I am missing, please tell me. I do not have a JTAG cable, so I am collecting the parts for one now. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point out anything I might be missing.
