I'm currently extracting the latest broadcom drivers from Asus RTN66 code ; and it's a pain due to duplicate code everywhere between src and src-rt
Do we really need to support src and linux 2.4 anymore?
The linux 2.6 based image has been out for years now, it's can be considered experimental any longer…
There's no much point continuing to support 10 years old firmware, that's what archives are for.
What about getting rid of release/src ; focusing only on src-rt. Moving router there and try to clean things up.
In particular having all the broadcom utilities/drivers in one location only rather than spread across /router and /src
