I'm going to sell my E2000 and the buyer requested for the firmware to be back to stock.
Currently I have this build installed:
Tomato Firmware v1.28.9054 MIPSR2-beta E2000 vpn3.6
Linux kernel 22.214.171.124 and Broadcom Wireless Driver 126.96.36.199 updates
Some instructions said to just download the Linksys stock FW and flash normally.
However, I read somewhere that I might encounter errors because I need to erase the first 33 bytes of the stock fw. I just read between the lines and it mentioned about "HDR0".
Then someone mentioned I can just flash to the latest development build for the Linksys Exxxx series before I flash to stock.
TBH, I'm really noob at this so I would rather update to the latest development build (which reportedly will fix this issue) before flashing to stock. IF it would really fix that error. Is that true btw?
Could someone please guide me on how to do this with my E2000? I need to send it tomorrow and I was hoping I can do this tonight.
Thank you very much!
