Received my new Asus RT-N66 yesterday.
Started playing with Tomato obviously.
First I tried the Toastman build: tomato-K26USB-1.28.0498.1MIPSR2-Toastman-RT-N-VPN
After a few reboot, no LAN port were working… Only Wifi worked, and only 2.4GHz was reliable. I would loose 5GHz connectivity every few minutes, when this happened I couldn't join the 5GHz network until I rebooted the router.
Interestingly, the only way to get the LAN port back is to put back the router in firmware recovery mode and reflash the Asus stock firmware. Reflashing the Asus firmware via Tomato wouldn't make the LAN port back to life.
Then I tried Shibby.
Exactly same symptoms as above.
Could say that Tomato is really unusable on the RT-N66 for the time being.
Which is quite surprising.
Has anyone seen similar issues with this router?
Any version known to work well?
At least this will give me a starting point.
