I'm really on the fence between buying the Asus RT-N66U and the Cisco e4200v2 but my main concern is using a router for storage as well. I'm trying to keep them all in one device to reduce power consumption since it will be used in a country where the power grid is not that great (but it will be plugged into a battery backup system)
What I like about the Asus is that talented developers like Shibby and Toastman are making amazing things for it but I know the Cisco's performance with USB drives is a bit better. Does anyone have experience with connecting NTFS drives (or even ext2/3) to the Asus? How fast has it been performing with some of these custom firmwares?
