Linksys E3000 router [current firmware = tomato-E3000USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.RT-MIPSR2-088-VPN]
2wire 3801HGV Gateway
I have 2 computers connected to the router's LAN ports.
When I connect the gateway to the router's WAN port, the wired computer does not get internet. When I have the gateway connected to the router's LAN port, the computers gets internet.
For wifi, when I have any security on, my phone and my laptop cannot connect to the router's access point, but when I have security disabled, it can connect. The problem with both my phone and laptop when it's able to connect is that it is not able to gain access to internet. I'm not even able to access the router's website.
I'd like to be able to configure my router to act as a switch [router dhcp disabled/gateway dhcp enabled] and be able to give internet via wifi, too. All clients on the same subnet.
Also if in the end I'd want to have my gateway and router have the same SSID and security, but different channels [for "roaming"]. As of right now for testing, they have different SSID.
I came from dd-wrt using the Wireless_Access_Point on the dd-wrt wiki [sorry can't post links]
I had my router and gateway connected via LAN-to-LAN uplink. It was working, however my phone and laptop had problem connecting to the router's wifi [no problem with the gateway's wifi though internet works, too]
I have another E3000 and it also has the same problem.
