I took recently advantage of the NewEgg sale on the LinkSys E3000 refurb about a month or two back. I flashed it with version 1.28.9054 right away and hung the router in my basement. I put it on a laptop cooler to head off any heat problems and went on with my life. Today I decided to move my Okidata C3200N from the second floor to the basement and use the router as it should be used. The printer weighs a ton and I needed to make room for it near the router, hence the delay.
I can't get the printer to work on any computer, wired or wireless. I followed the tutorial (can't post the link but it's from here) to the letter, but kept getting "could not connect printer to lpr port' error.
I searched this site and Googled many other sites without resolution. When I checked the version of Tomato I noticed it was built in Nov 2010, should I be using something newer? Is this an issue specifically with my Oki drivers?
I tried to rule out me putting a square peg in a round hole as I have been known to do that. I put this in the wrong forum to begin with, so anything's possible.
I'd appreciate any guidance; firmware recommendations, things to check, etc.. :))
