I have a device that is running on the TUSB3410 usb to serial converter chipset, and i am trying to connect the WRN3400Lv2 to the device via USB so that i can either use USBIP or ser2net. I have USBIP working for other devices connected to the USB hub, but when I connect the TUSB3410 device, I get the following on the host router
- busid 2-1.3 (0451:3410)
2-1.3:1.0 -> none
- usbip_bind_driver —usbip 2-1.3
** (process:1419): DEBUG: 2-1.3:1.0 -> none
** (process:1419): DEBUG: write "add 2-1.3" to /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbip/match_busid
** Message: bind 2-1.3 to usbip, complete!
and then the following on the windows client when trying to connect
C:\Users\nettop\Desktop\usbip_windows_v0.2.0.0_signed>usbip.exe -l 192.168.1.1
2-1.3: Texas Instruments, Inc. : TUSB3410 Microcontroller (0451:3410)
When I connect to this device, I only get the TUSB3410 "Multi port adapter" listed, but not the subsequent USB->Serial COM port.
Any thoughts? My hunch is that the USBIP is forwarding along the initial USB connection, but what I really need is to have the driver for the TUSB3401 loaded on the router, so that I can have USBIP pass along the /dev/TTY connection. Or better yet, start running ser2net.
any advice is much appreciated.
