can any one provide TOMATO version for e2500
thanxx
i know i'm selfish for asking this, but really i need tomato developers to really step up and work faster, get your support out for these new routers, so that we all users can get something free, and contribute nothing.
Just bought this router, anyway I can help Tomato going on this?
The Middle East is the worst market for quality routers. We don't get on any of the Asus Routers in these parts. Nevertheless the more routers Tomato works on, it'll gain wider acceptance.
I'm curious, if tomato has this so called "wider" acceptance, what do the developers gain? They are not paid and all it will get them are douche bags guest adding "bump" post demanding more and more hardware support.
This is a Broadcom chipset based router so we should eventually have support. Provided development is structured and evangelized like folks over at XDA do.
Since I don't have coding skills, and can't donate my time for testing, I'm willing to donate cash. But money is just a small part of the effort, these projects are always community driven or backed by corporations.
It would be ideal if Buffalo, NetGear or D-Link officially hosted Tomato firmware development, that would give the project some serious boost. This is what happened to OpenVPN. Perhaps we should lobby them for this?
People will donate them ? Are you kidding? You think developers will have orgasms over being donated a few dollars as if they were little kids queuing up for candy bars? My company just paid 270,000 dollars for some fundamental changes to some embedded system control firmware.
Developers do what they do because they want to, and not because of money. All of this whining and nagging will achieve the opposite of what was intended because by now they must be getting really fed up with the constant pressure and criticism. Rather, more of them will just pack it in and leave. I know I would.
